Hey I met this guy in a youth hostel in St. Louis when I first started travelling. I am from England and I tuned his sons guitar and had food with them in a tent out the back. He gave me one of these books. My adventure started there. I went on to be a cycle courier in San Fran, then a pedicabber in Sydney, then a bike courier in Melbourne, Australia, then I ran the councils pedicabs in Auckland NZ now I am here back in Sydney just started my own pedicab business. This dude gave me a book made out of a bicycle. It started my adventure. Thank you G. Wayne Wilcox. You were my inspiration. He wrote in my book – A simple gift. ’tis a gift to be simple, tis a gift to be free; tis a gift to come down where you want to be, and when you find yourself in the place just write and it will be in the valley of Love and destiny’. Hey Folks! After 20 years and a 38 state tour I have landed again in Saint Louis Missouri. I repaired a paper cutter to day and and am working on more books. Wayne is a great guy! Hilarious to talk to. I knew him for about ten years in Minneapolis, his print shop was in the basement of the building my business was in. He showed me one of these Bicycle books and told me the whole idea in the late 80s. …Of course I thought it was totally crazy. I am glad for him that he finally did it.

I just bought one of these the other day i love it. it is perfect to keep with me since the cover has a fair amount of oil in it the thing stays perfectly dry (i am around water alot)
