Perception and Getting Things Done

A few months ago, Keith Robinson wrote about reclaiming “Broken Days”. These are days which are punctuated by too many meetings or other interruptions that may keep you from Getting Things Done. What really caught my eye in this post was the sentence near the end of the post – “The biggest hurdle is one of perception.”

A few years ago, I had the pleasure of attending a seminar by David Allen, part of his RoadMap series. One thing he kept saying throughout the day was that “perception is the most valuable commodity on earth.”

To this day, I find myself repeating that phrase in some form or another.
